Golf video analysis on the Badgie web: draw over the swing and send it to the student

Quick answer

Golf Video analysis gathers on the web the swing videos of your students, both those they upload from the app and those that come from TrackMan sessions. The teacher draws over the video (lines, arrows, circles, angles, text), freezes the key moment, writes a note and sends it: the student receives it as a coach note in the app.

Where to find it

  • Web: Golf → Video analysis (/dashboard/golf/videoanalisis), with the Videos and Analyses views and filters by Source, View and Student.
  • Statuses: Not analysed, Internal (draft, the student does not see it) and Visible (sent to the student).

Step by step

  1. In Videos, pick a student's video and press Analyse (or Open analysis if one already exists).
  2. Draw with the tools: freehand, line, arrow, circle, rectangle, text and angle. Change the colour and thickness and decide how long each stroke lasts: 1 frame, a few seconds or the whole video.
  3. Use Pause here to freeze the video on the moment you want to explain; play frame by frame, at 0.25×, 0.5× or 1×, on a loop and with or without pauses.
  4. Choose the teacher in Signed by, add a Title and add more students with Add student if the analysis applies to several.
  5. Write the Note for the student and press Save (it stays internal) or Send.
  6. With Download MP4 you take the video with the strokes burned onto it.

What the student sees

When you send it, the student receives the analysis as a coach note: a notification in the app and, if the club has them enabled, also by WhatsApp and email. While it is Internal, they do not see it.

And the AI swing analysis

The automatic AI analysis (“Record your swing”) lives in the Badgie Golf app and in the coach app, and the Badgie agent can suggest it (analyze_golf_swing) and look up previous analyses (get_swing_analyses). It is explained in its own guide.

Frequently asked questions

Where do the videos come from?

From the app (those uploaded by students and teachers) and from imported TrackMan sessions when the studio has cameras.

Does the student see the analysis while I am preparing it?

No. While it is Internal it is a draft; they only see it when you press Send.

Can I share the video with the drawings outside Badgie?

Yes, with Download MP4.
