Log training sessions in the Badgie diary: entries per session and per athlete

Quick answer

Every time a coach fills in the diary after a session an entry is created: date, coach, athletes and their answers. You log it from Training diary → Create Entry (or ADD TRAINING SESSION inside the diary) and every entry stays in the diary's table, ready to review or export to Excel.

Where to find it

  • Web: Training diary (/dashboard/training-diary) → See Diary Entries for the list of entries, or Create Entry to log one.
  • Coach dashboard: each responsible coach sees their diaries and logs sessions from their own web dashboard.

Log a session

  1. Open the diary and click ADD TRAINING SESSION.
  2. Select coach: choose who ran the session.
  3. Set the date and answer the general session questions.
  4. Fill in each athlete's questions (distance, effort, how they felt…) and, if you like, upload photos or videos.
  5. Save the entry.

Review the entries

The diary table lists each entry with its date and time, the Creator, the number of Athletes and the See Details button. At the top there's the coach filter and Excel to download the whole diary.

What the student or family sees

Entries are an internal club record: families are not notified. To tell families what was worked on, use Coach Notes. In survey-mode diaries, the student creates their own entry.

By sport

In swimming a typical entry stores distance, feelings and perceived effort; in tennis or padel, time played and stroke worked on; in team sports, each player's load and niggles.

With the AI agent

  • get_diary_stats: summarises the entries' numeric answers (average, minimum, maximum and number of answers), filterable by diary.
