Adding your first teacher in Badgie

Quick answer
To add your first teacher, go to Community → Teachers, press New teacher, fill in first name, last name and email, and press Create Teacher: Badgie sends their credentials by email and/or WhatsApp so they can log in to the app and their portal. Step by step: your first teacher
- In Community → Teachers, press New teacher.
- Fill in First name, Last name and Email (required); the Mobile number is needed if you want to send the credentials by WhatsApp.
- Leave Send email with password and/or Send whatsapp with password switched on.
- Press Create Teacher.
- Assign their classes from the calendar: each class's teacher is chosen when you create or edit it.
What the teacher sees in the app
An email and/or WhatsApp message with their username and a temporary password. With them they log in to the Badgie app (iOS and Android) or badgie.com, and change the password on first login. Once in, they see the club's welcome screen and, on the home screen, their classes for the day and quick actions: coach notes, sending badges, messages to students, uploading photos and videos, reports and scanning sheets.
By sport

- Other sports: just assign their classes on the calendar.
With the AI agent
Badgie Agentic adds teachers with the create_teacher tool, looks up the team with list_teachers and resends credentials with resend_teacher_credentials. It shows you what it will do and runs it when you approve.
Frequently asked questions
The teacher hasn't received their credentials
In the list, open the ⋯ menu on their row and press Reset password to resend them by email, WhatsApp or both.
Which students will they see?
That's set in Settings → Teachers: all students or only those in their classes. See the Teachers in Badgie guide.
Can I add the whole coaching staff at once?
Yes. In the Coaches or Instructors step of Onboarding, upload a spreadsheet, a CSV or a photo of the list, or give it to the AI agent.
Can a teacher also be an administrator?
To give dashboard access with permissions by area, use Collaborators and access areas.
