Quick answer
In Badgie, Management → Categories manages student categories: free-form labels to group your students (for example “Under 10”, “Under 14”, “Adults” or “Competition”). Each student has one category, and the table shows, per category, how many students are active, inactive, with app, without app and the total.
The club's sports are not managed here: they are chosen in Settings → General information, in the “Sports” field.
Where to find it
- Web dashboard: Management → Categories.
- Assign to a student: from the student's profile, in Community → Students.
- Club sports: Management → Settings → General information → Sports.
Step by step
- Open Management → Categories.
- Click the button to create a category (on screen it appears as “New category”) and type its name.
- Assign the category to each student from their profile.
- Go back to Categories to see, for each one, how many students are active and inactive and how many have the app installed. Sort by any column or filter by name.
By sport
Each club uses them its own way: by age (Under 10, Under 12, Under 14) in football or swimming, by level (Beginner, Intermediate, Competition) in tennis, padel or skiing, or by type of member. For finer or temporary segmentation (mailing groups, federated players, siblings) use Smart Tags.
With the AI agent
Badgie Agentic can change a specific student's category when you ask, with your approval. Creating or renaming categories is done from this screen.

No. They are a free-form name; the criterion (age, level, type of member) is up to the club.
